What are the Categories?

For each category there will be a Gold, Silver and Bronze Award.
What are the Prizes?
Winners will receive fame & cash. Gold (€ 1000), Silver (€ 500) and Bronze (€ 250) in each of the four categories.
All nominated Entrants get featured on this website.
How will the Entries be judged?
The Entries will be judged by a Jury Panel consisting of:

Brigette Allan, environmental Impact Consultant and Co-Author of Living Without Plastic
Julia Watson, designer, activist, academic, and author of Lo-TEK
Grant Gibson, design, craft and architecture writer & host of Material Matters podcast

Trent Romer, writer & author of Finding Sustainability
Katie Holloway, eco-friendly marketing specialist and founder of Cocoon Communications
Ulrich Krzyminski, engineer, entrepreneur & founder of BEYONDPLASTIC
The selection by the jury is a two-step process: First, the selection of the Nominees out of all Entries and than at a later stage selection of the Winners out of the Nominees.
The judges will evaluate how well the entry illuminates the topic. Here are hints what the jury will be looking for:
Is it eco-responsible? To use? To manufacture? Is it reusable ? Is it recyclable? Is it bio-degradable? Does it save resources and energy?
Is it useful? Does it work well? Is it easy to understand? Is it practical? Can it be manufactured well?
Is it beautiful? Is it elegant? Is it aesthetic? Is it clear & distinctive?
Is it interesting? Is the idea thought-provoking? Is it original? Is it unique? Is it innovative? Clever? Brilliant? Ingenious?
Who can participate?
Everyone who has an idea, concept, project, prototype, initiative or even a currently used solution which encourages less plastic products, especially less single-use plastic packages. Also it can be a campaign, educational or journalistic project related to the topic.
Wether you are a Student, Designer, Engineer, Maker, Creator, Inventor, Artist, Activist, Journalist, Teacher, Rocket Scientist, Industry Tycoon...we need you!
Every entrant will keep full ownership of the work.
